I will ensure free K-12 meals are healthy, nutritious, and grown locally by supporting Statewide Food Security Strategy (HB 2238) and commit to further building on the 2008 Local Farms - Healthy Kids Act
I will invest in CTE (Career and Technical Education) partnerships with local public schools, CTCs (Community Technical Colleges), and local unions to ensure students have access to high-quality, hands-on training that ensures access to a well-paying job
I will work to pass legislation that bans exclusionary discipline (suspension, expulsion, arrests) for vague and subjective behaviors
I will work to restore funding for the Outdoor Education for All Act (HB 2078) so our fifth and sixth graders can enjoy multi-day, outdoor learning
I will fight to fully fund counselors, social workers, and community-based providers like Healthpoint so that students are easily able to access necessary care
