T: “What we’re getting wrong is we’re collecting revenue from the everyday person. Our state budget is incredibly over-leveraged. Over 51% of the money that our state pulls in each year — that we rely on to support all these public services — comes from excise taxes. AKA taxes that we pay, every single time that we exchange money for a good or a service. Fundamentally, that’s wrong.”
